Inka Orko leads the co-creation activities in the circular economy at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Her current activities are focusing on circular design and solutions, and new circular opportunities via digitalization. Inka is currently leading the Circular Design Innovation Community that brings together stakeholders in seven different value chains in circular solutions design. 

Prior to the current position, Inka led a research team in sustainability and process modeling. Inka has also worked in startup incubation, business development, and IPR licensing and commercialization. Inka works in the business area of sustainable products and processes and has a Master’s degree and a Licentiate of Science degree from Helsinki University of Technology, in environmental engineering.

At SHIFT Inka will talk about circular solutions and sustainable operations. She will also talk about how we can bring disruptive and resilient circular solutions to the market by applying circular design principles and methods throughout business operations. The talk will give insights and examples of a circular design.
