Heidi Lindvall is a General Partner at the climate tech VC Pale Blue Dot. The early-stage fund invests in pre-seed and seed startups in Europe and the US with a positive climate impact. Heidi has a background in entrepreneurship and has worked and previously started companies in the tech, media, and human rights space.

At SHIFT 2020, Heidi will discuss the investor perspective of business with positive climate impact. Research into new solutions is vital when it comes to solving some of the biggest problems that we face as humanity. Although we know many of the potential solutions are out there, companies that know how to take these and turn them into profitable businesses are still few. And investors who have enough patience and capital to bring them to market are possibly even fewer. Why are many investors shying away from investing in research-heavy solutions and what can we do to change this?
