Colin Shearer has been a pioneer and thought leader in AI and advanced analytics for over 25 years. His experience ranges from successful start-ups and the creation of market-leading tools and technology – he designed and developed the Clementine Data mining System, now IBM SPSS Modeler, and led the initiative to develop CRISP-DM, the de facto standard methodology for advanced analytics – to worldwide executive roles with the largest vendors.

Through his career Colin has worked with end-user organisations across many sectors, advising and assisting them in setting their AI and predictive analytics strategies, developing technological and process infrastructures, and embedding intelligence in key operational processes to drive improved outcomes and business transformation. In December 2016 Colin joined Houston Analytics, a Finnish start-up now established as a European leader in AI, and serves as their Chief Strategy officer.
