A great connection is like a marriage. It all starts with a first date.

According to the Guinness World Records, the World’s Largest Business Speed Dating event took place at JCI Limburg event with 1,068 people in 2014. 

Together with sTARTUp Day, we’re bringing together at least 1,074 visitors, startups, investors & executives for an epic speed dating record attempt on August 25–27. All 1:1 interactions last 4 minutes and will take place on a virtual platform where you can choose your interests to ensure you meet the right people. 

Meeting slots will be split into hour-long thematic blocks. Although we recommend making the most of the entire schedule, you can jump in and join the fun whenever you can! There will be more than enough opportunities to meet the right investors, listen to up-and-coming startups pitch, network with executives, and mingle with visitors.

Tips for startups:

Prepare! You have 4 minutes to pitch your idea and only a few seconds to make a positive first impression.
Your pitch should be prepared, efficient, and goal-oriented.
Leave time for questions. Would you like to go on a date where only your partner talks the entire time?
Before your time is up, make sure to exchange contacts to continue the discussion afterward. 

Investors, remember to: 

Pre-determine the aspects you’re looking for.
Be present and give your attention to each startup. This way, you don’t miss out on something life-changing.
Last but least: have fun and enjoy the fast energy of the event.

Executives: 

We bet it’s been a while since you’ve been able to meet old acquaintances and meet the new players in the corporate world. Speed through all of the connections in speed dating! Of course, you can continue discussions outside of the platform later on.

The program:* 

Although we encourage you to take part the entire hour, you can join and leave whenever you need to. 

Getting access to the platform: we recommend downloading the mobile app before the event and creating an account with the platform on iOS or Android. If you’re joining on a computer, please use Google Chrome as Safari is not supported by the platform.

What sessions to join in: choose the session/sessions you’re wanting to attend, click on the “Glimpse Session Key”  link next to it and add it to your “Events” page on Glimpse. Please take note that each Glimpse Session Key is individual to that session.
