Risto Vapola holds an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology (Aalto University). He is working since 2016 at Nestre Corporation (Finland), focusing on business development of renewable chemicals and plastics in collaboration with production partners and brand owners. He has over 20 years’ experience in the field of plastics and different converting technologies.

Prior to joining Neste, he has been working at packaging manufacturing companies in different job functions such as; product development, plastic and paper board processing technology development, technical customer service and sales.
