TICKETS & CLAIMING YOUR BADGE
Tickets are exchanged for badges at the entrance. To enter the Hotel Kakola venue and claim your badge, you need the QR code on the ticket sent to you via e-mail, so do not lose it. You may even want to save it to your camera roll to have it easily available. All tickets to SHIFT are personal.
If you can’t find your ticket in your inbox, please check your spam filter and if you are still out of luck, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
All SHIFT tickets are personal and non-refundable. However, you can assign our ticket to another person if it turns out you are not able to join the festival.

Are you ready to find your perfect business match? Better be, the matchmaking starts already on the 8th of August! Brella is a networking tool that allows you to schedule 1:1 meetings with the most relevant attendees at SHIFT. Brella’s AI-powered matchmaking algorithm provides you with a personalized and curated list of relevant attendees to meet to help you achieve success! In addition to scheduling meetings at the event, you can create your own schedule by choosing your favorite keynotes and workshops from the program. Also, check out the virtual booths of our partner companies!
Here are 4 easy steps to get started with Brella.
Step 2: Join the platform and create your profile
Create your account and profile. Then enter the event using your invite link – this is sent to you via email on the 8.8. and/or as part of your ticket confirmation message. Please note, that the email is the same one you used for purchasing your ticket! You can choose the interests that reflect your own to provide the AI-powered algorithm with the best information.
Step 3: Book a meeting with your first match
Once you complete your profile, you’ll see your recommended matches right away. Select a profile, choose an available time and send a meeting request to start the discussion. We have provided a designated matchmakin space with tables at the event for your meetings. Of course, you can always invite someone for lunch or after party drinks!
Step 4: Show up on the event day for amazing content and relevant 1:1 meetings!

Brella matchmaking will be opened for all ticket holders on the 8th of August. Early bird catches the best meetings!
This is where you want to get: Kakolankatu 14, 20100 Turku, Finland. Please note that there are no parking spaces – we encourage you to favor public transport, walking or cycling.
Buses 1, 12, and 14 from Turku city center come closest to the venue. You can find more about public transport in Turku here.
Bike & kickboard
You can park your bike in the marked bicycle area in front of the hotel or come with an electric kickboard but note that you have to leave it outside the venue.
You can find some free parking spaces nearby on Sofiankatu and Heikkilänkatu or for example use big parking garages P-Louhi and Toriparkki which are located in Turku city center (note that the parking garages are not free parking).
Leave the ordinary behind and book accommodation at Hotel Kakola! Ticket holders, and ticket holders only, can book accommodation at the festival venue. This way you can fully immerse yourself in SHIFT and enjoy the exclusive morning program with other retreaters. It draws you from the ordinary, nurtures creative thinking, and strengthens the bonds and encounters with others sharing the same experience.
All premises of Hotel Kakola are reserved for SHIFT between 24 and 25 August. Hotel Kakola’s online booking system is not available for bookings between 24.-25.8. to make sure it is just us SHIFTers staying at the hotel. So, please note, that bookings are done by email or phone only. When booking, remember to mention that you’re attending SHIFT.

7 THINGS SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO BEFORE SHIFT
1. Do the matchmaking thing
Signing up for the matchmaking system is a smart thing to do. Along with a list of attendees and partner company information, our full timetable is there. You can start setting up meetings on the 8th of August already!
2. Read SHIFT Blog for prep
Let SHIFT Blog with texts from the speakers, partners & our idols set you in the right mood for the festival. Reading the speakers’ blogs is also a great inspiration for the Q&A sessions!

3. Plan ahead
Get the most out of the event and forge out your plan before you arrive. Check out the program timetable and don’t forget the amazing side events. There is a lot going on – take time to study the program and pick your favorites!
4. Beware of the Finnish weather
We love for you to look your best. However, parts of the program take place outdoors. Please be prepared for hail, rain, and sunshine and dress accordingly. High heels are forbidden. Yes, forbidden. You will thank us later.
5. Don’t risk your or anyone else’s health
The health and safety of you and other attendees is our priority. If you have even the slightest symptoms of respiratory infection, we kindly ask you to stay home.
6. Code of conduct
We have zero tolerance for discrimination and harassment.
We ask everyone who participates in the activities and events of SHIFT Events Oy to act in accordance with our code of conduct and values to provide everyone a safe space to participate and feel welcomed. We have to respect each other. Nothing else will do.
