Jussi Poikonen, D.Sc.(Tech.), is an artificial intelligence development lead for Remote and Autonomous Operations, part of Ship Intelligence solutions at Rolls-Royce Marine. His main focus is currently in the development of machine learning models and algorithms for autonomous vessels.

Before joining Rolls-Royce in 2017, Jussi worked over 10 years as lecturer and research project leader at Finnish Universities; his research experience ranges from optimization of spectrum usage in wireless communication networks to developing computational methods for  massively parallel neuromorphic circuits.
