WHO - Andrii Konopko, 24, brought himself to Finland from Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine. Andrii is an artist educated in an art school but also trained by hundreds of hours of self-education.
WHAT - Andrii is most familiar with water colors and graphic pencils. His repertoire also contains techniques such as oil and acrylic paints, and textile coloring.
In Ukraine, in the National University of Ostroh Academy, Konopko has had two portrait exhibitions named "Without Right for a Mistake" (1 and 2). The money collected from selling his works was donated to a local orphans’ boarding school. In Turku, he has had the exhibition "Bright Turku in the Grey Routine Days" in Café Art in spring 2017.
HOW - Nature, history and people are the main sources of inspiration for Andrii, and so his topics are often related to them. He says art is created for sharing positive emotions and ideas with other people. He hopes his art will push the viewer to think about important issues in everyday life.
